Crosscut A/B Sawyer Course (C is also available)
The U.S. Forest Service, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), and the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) is hosting a weekday crosscut A/B and a Crosscut C certification course October 17-21, 2022.
Where - Mount Rogers NRA Volunteer Trail Camp (Konnarock) in Sugar Grove, Virginia. The address for the Work Center is 655 Flat Ridge Rd, Sugar Grove, VA 24375, the entrance to the volunteer camp is west of the address.
When - Crosscut C & Evaluator–October 17-22, 2022, Crosscut A/B–October 19-21, 2022
How to attend - Students for both courses may apply by filling out the form via the link below. Crosscut C sawyer applicants must apply and provide a letter of recommendation from their supervisor, local land management office decision maker, or club official or ATC representative. In addition to completing the linked form, please also send an email to Britt and John at the emails below letting them know you are planning to attend.

Crosscut A/B course: Students are expected to attend classroom and field portions of the A/B course starting at 8 am on Wednesday, October 19th. All participants must be able to provide proof of current First Aid and CPR certifications. Please register below. Expect courses to begin at 8 am and end by 5 pm daily.
