What - First Landing Trail Maintenance When - Friday April 14th. 9 am to about noon
Description - The next First Landing State Park Trail Maintenance work morning is on Friday, April 14th. We'll meet at 9:00 AM at the picnic parking area on Conservation Court, south of Shore Drive (US 60). All work should be completed by 11:00 AM.
Enter at the traffic light, go past the Contact Station and turn right on Conservation Court into the parking lot. Tell the park ranger you are with TATC and are a volunteer doing trail maintainence and you should not be charged a parking fee.
Bring loppers, clippers and optionally a small silky saw to cut back any brush / small limbs. Appropriate footwear, hat, gloves and water. We'll break into 2 teams, one each for Live Oak trail and the picnic area and one for Cypress Swamp trail. It should take about 90 minutes.
A total of 4 people should be adequate, but more are welcome. Please let Paul Heymann know, via text message to 540-520-2798, if you plan to attend.
