After defeat at First Bull Run, The Army of the Potomac tries another way to take Richmond & end the war--a huge operation that became the largest movement of men and war materials up until that time: over 340 vessels were used to transport 120,000 men 1,500 horses, 1,100 wagons, 44 artillery batteries, ammunition, and provisions down the Potomac and across the Chesapeake to Fort Monroe.
