A Shore Thing for Black Friday Hike

When: Friday, November 28, 9:15 AM, for a 9:30 AM departure.

Leave the retailing to others and walk off some turkey by joining us for this hike. We will hike approximately 5 miles. Starting at Bayville Farms Park, we will walk along Shore Drive, into Pleasure House Point Natural Area, around the wetlands project, by the Brock Center and on to the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp and Beach Facility. We have the option of enjoying the view from the nearby Lessner Bridge or walking on the beach near the bridge. We plan to be back from the hike around 1:00 PM or earlier. The trail is flat and mostly sand. We will be on some city streets walking from the parking area to the nature area and on the way to the boat ramp. Restrooms should be available at the boat ramp. We may be able to eat lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants after the hike. Ride sharing is recommended.

We will probably hike rain or shine, cold or warm but we will notify everyone by 8 pm on Nov. 28th if there is a cancellation for especially foul weather. 

Please bring/wear appropriate clothing for the weather, hiking boots, water, snacks and/or lunch. 

This hike is leashed dog (and poop scooped) friendly!
